Apple : Image Shot Challenges

Apple is considered the world’s best smartphone. And it takes pride in the quality of the image it captures. To show the picture it can capture, it once started a picture taking competition and asked its users to take the photo. iPhone users across the world had participated and shared the picture they had clicked with their phones. Later, a panel of judges selected 10 winners out of the participants and these winners were featured on Apple’s website, the company’s Instagram, and on 10,000+ billboards in 25 countries. This campaign had a huge impact on people as well as the brand itself. Its users started taking pride in being a part of the iPhone community. 


Netflix: Wanna Talk About It?

In 2019, Netflix had launched a campaign called ‘Wanna Talk About It’ considering the importance of mental health and overcoming traumatic experiences. It was a weekly instagram live series with topics ranging from sexual violence and abuse to gender identity and suicidal thoughts. There were several stars from Netflix movies and series who participated in the same. During Covid-19, people faced many difficulties due to restrictions imposed on movement. So, this campaign played a vital role in encouraging people to not indulge in any wrong activities.  


Zoom: Logo Redesign

When Covid-19 led to a global lockdown, people tried to find the alternative of physically appearing in classrooms. This is how Zoom came into existence. In 2022, Zoom redesigned its logo adding six ‘O’ between Z and M, and each O contains the one service Zoom offers, such as team chat, phone, meetings, rooms, events, and contact center. But after all restrictions were lifted, people started having meetings physically and attending schools, etc. These types of apps were perceived as being irrelevant, so Zoom redesigned its logo to depict its features so that it could stay relevant. 


 Dove - #DetoxifyYourFeed 

Dove is a company whose social media ads have always focused on social causes. And these particularly focused on women empowerment, diversity, inclusion, and breaking beauty stereotypes. Dove's marketing initiatives mostly target women because they are their primary customers.

In their latest campaign, Dove showed how influencers could acquire as much authority as parents in young girls' lives, particularly in terms of influencing their perceptions of identity and beauty. #DetoxYourFeed campaign had a goal more than just exposing harmful beauty advice on social media. Dove advised mothers to support their daughters' self-esteem through open communication and healthy social media habits, such as unfollowing users who promote harmful practices like cosmetic surgery and unrealistic beauty standards.


British Army’s - “Nothing Can Do What a Soldier Can Do” 

Once in an interview, then Armed Forces Chief General Sir Nick Carter mentioned that 30,000 or about a quarter of the projected 120,000-strong army by that time "might be robots, who knows?

This announcement that robots might take over the armed forces by 2030 caused widespread panic in people. So, the British Army took it very seriously. And launched its  new recruitment campaign called “Nothing Can Do What a Soldier Can Do” which faded away the fear of no new recruitment from people’s minds. 


Blinkit: Doodh Mangoge, Doodh Denge, Kheer Mangoge Kheer Denge

Months ago, Blinkit, a grocery delivering e-commerce platform had featured its billboard with a meme that reads “Doodh Mangoge, Doodh Denge, Kheer Mangoge Kheer Denge”, instantly, it got viral on social media. Furthermore, several companies have come forward and made their own marketing strategy by adding their own business related slogan beside Blinkit’s slogan. And this marketing campaign proved to be a great success for Blinkit.
